Joseph Brodsky, the founder of Ninety Plus, began his journey in coffee in 2006, collaborating with Ethiopian farmers to create his first batch of beans. In 2007, he founded Ninety Plus with the goal of producing coffees that score over 90 points on the SCA scale, a mark of rare excellence.

In 2009, he established Ninety Plus Gesha Estates in Panama, transforming former pastureland into a sustainable coffee farm under native tree shade, blending ecological practices with superior flavor. Since 2014, their beans have won numerous awards at the World Brewers Cup.
